Russia's Social Fund grants child disability care payments without additional documents
More than 90 percent of care payments for children with disabilities are granted based on an application alone.

The Social Fund of Russia granted 172,400 monthly care payments for children with disabilities in the first nine months of 2026.
For 96.2 percent of recipients, these payments were processed solely on the basis of an application, without requiring additional documents.
Parents, adoptive parents, guardians, custodians, and other citizens who do not work or work part-time are entitled to receive this payment. The period spent caring for a child with a disability or a person with a childhood disability (Group I) counts toward insurance service record and is considered when calculating pension benefits.
Families with children with disabilities can receive approximately 15 different support measures from the Social Fund. These include pensions, social allowances, monetary compensation, and assistance related to child rehabilitation.
One of the key services for children with disabilities is the provision of rehabilitation aids. The Fund provides prosthetics and orthopedic devices, complex orthopedic footwear, walkers and supports, wheelchairs, and other equipment. Most often, families obtain these items using an electronic certificate.
Support for parents extends beyond financial payments: those who are employed are entitled to four paid days off per month.
Thus, most payments are granted based on a simple application, while family support includes not only monetary funds but also rehabilitation equipment and additional leave days.
Who is affected
Новость напрямую касается семей с детьми с инвалидностью и ухаживающих лиц: большинство выплат теперь назначаются по одному заявлению, снижая административный барьер и увеличивая доступность государственной поддержки.
