Starting November 2, a campaign to assist with applications for energy resource compensation for the 2026–2027 cold season begins in the Basarabeasca district.

This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide and ensure that those unable to use the online platform independently receive their entitled state support without unnecessary bureaucratic or physical barriers.

In the upcoming heating season, citizens whose energy expenses exceed the threshold established by law will be eligible for state financial support. However, for many people with disabilities, the primary barrier is not the right to compensation itself, but the complexity of the application procedure. Moldova’s national platform, compensatii.gov.md, while convenient for tech-savvy users, often becomes an insurmountable obstacle for those lacking internet access, necessary digital skills, or specialized adaptive devices. This is why the Basarabeasca Territorial Social Assistance Structure places particular emphasis on personalized, in-person support for the population.

Citizens will be received at primarias (local mayor offices) during working hours from morning until evening, with mobile teams of social assistants operating for residents of remote villages. Social service representatives emphasize that assistance is primarily intended for those who cannot physically or technically register in the system on their own. Particular attention is given to individuals using alternative heating methods, such as firewood, whose applications also require specialist involvement to correctly enter data. To minimize stress and physical strain, social workers provide service outside the general queue for elderly people and citizens with severe forms of disability who find it difficult to stand for long periods or wait in corridors.

Who is affected

Повсеместная цифровизация государственных услуг не должна становиться предлогом для сокращения штата социальных ассистентов или ухудшения качества их работы.
