Culture, science and sports: seven names announced as laureates of Moldova’s National Prize

On October 28, the Government of Moldova approved a list of seven laureates of the 2026 National Prize.

Through a secret ballot, the commission selected scientists, doctors, athletes, and artists whose years of work have made a significant contribution to societal progress and Moldova’s international image.

Oleg Crețu is among the nominees. A Master of Sport and the president of the Paralympic Committee of Moldova, he is recognized as a key figure in shaping local success in para-judo. His coaching methods and organizational skills have not only brought medals to athletes but also significantly strengthened the position of Moldova’s Paralympic movement on the world stage.

Who is affected

Присуждение Национальной премии президенту Паралимпийского комитета Олегу Крецу за успехи в пара-дзюдо повышает статус адаптивного спорта и привлекает внимание к достижениям спортсменов с инвалидностью на государственном уровне.
