Who is eligible for a social pension in Transnistria — Having a disability does not always mean a person will automatically be assigned a social pension. Eligibility for an employment-based pension plays a crucial role.
A social disability pension is provided for people with disabilities of groups I, II, and III, people with disabilities since childhood, and children with disabilities under the age of 18.
The main condition is the absence of eligibility for an employment-based disability pension.
If a person has previously worked and has the required work experience, they may be assigned an employment-based pension.

In the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, a person with a disability can apply for a social disability pension if they do not qualify for an employment-based pension.
