Moldova’s Government Prepares to Denounce CIS Agreements on Telemedicine and Diagnostics
Moldova’s cabinet is preparing to terminate healthcare agreements under the CIS framework

As reported by the Ziarul de Gardă outlet, the republic’s government will consider on 28 October the withdrawal from two healthcare agreements previously concluded within the Commonwealth of Independent States. Minister of Health Alexandru Găsnăș proposed the initiative aimed at denouncing the international legal instruments.
At the upcoming cabinet meeting, the relevant decision will be put to a vote. It concerns withdrawal from participation in the agreement on creating and operating compatible telemedicine systems, signed in Saint Petersburg on 19 November 2010. The second document to be removed from the national legal framework is a memorandum on cooperation among CIS countries in developing compatible national consultative and diagnostic systems.
This marks a new development in the process of reviewing the format of cooperation with post-Soviet structures. The withdrawal from the relevant memorandums and agreements will be another step by the authorities toward winding down integration within the CIS.
Who is affected
Денонсация соглашений о телемедицине и диагностических системах может ограничить доступ к удаленным медконсультациям.
