According to the press service of the PMR Ministry of Economic Development, a key element of the improvement project will be ensuring physical access to the museum buildings. Ramps will be installed at the entrances to the institutions, along with protective canopies.

Editorial note: the presence of canopies over entrances is not just an aesthetic feature. For wheelchair users, as well as those who use crutches or walking sticks, protection from rain, snow, and ice is critical for safety and comfort.

Specialists have been tasked with compiling a detailed list of all necessary works and calculating their cost by next week. The department emphasized that all accessibility measures will be implemented within the previously allocated budget limits.

Who is affected

Культура и искусство должны быть доступны каждому, и физическая возможность зайти в здание музея. Это базовое право человека с инвалидностью.
