Transnistria Prepares to Introduce the "Electronic Healthcare" Information System
Less paperwork, more doctor’s attention: how the new digital platform in clinics will make life easier for patients.

The republic continues an extensive digitization of healthcare. Medical facilities are implementing a unified information platform that will permanently eliminate paper bureaucracy. Recently, specialists from outpatient and consultative clinics completed training at the Republican Mother and Child Center, mastering new electronic services.
A representative of the IT company responsible for developing and implementing the program demonstrated its operational algorithm. The main goal is to convert paper documentation into electronic format and provide patient data through a client service.
For people with disabilities and low-mobility patients, this reform will bring long-awaited relief: electronic services will replace paperwork. A unified database will spare patients the need to collect and carry paper certificates, as the entire medical history will be electronically accessible to the doctor.
Health Minister Kristina Albul noted that automation will not only make the accounting of medical supplies transparent but, most importantly, free up doctors’ time for direct communication with patients. The system will soon be expanded to all clinics and then to hospitals across the republic.
Who is affected
